This photograph was taken circa 1990 from the Moorgate Street bridge crossing the Huddersfield Narrow Canal in Uppermill. The trip boat operated from the nearby Saddleworth Museum on an isolated navigable section of the canal that included two locks restored in 1981. The canal was fully reopened to navigation in 2001.
