An old Horse Chestnut tree has met its end, presumably as a result of recent storms this month; note the clean cut - not a blowdown. It had been here for some time (as witnessed by the girth) but in its later years had shown signs of weakness. It now rests for a short while before it will be cleared. Sadly, most of the mature trees around this car park have gone now.
