There's not much of interest in the foreground here other than acres of grass, but in the middle distance behind the trig pillar is the village of Spennithorne, whilst in the far distance can be seen the line of fog which on this December day was filling the Vale of Mowbray. Down there the temperature was a nippy 3C, but on the sunny hillside here it was near 9C.
