A telephoto view of Guildford Town Centre viewed from The Mount. The main block in the centre of the photo is the shopping area, between North Street (on the left) and High Street (on the right). Beyond on the left are Alexandra House and the tower of Christ Church. In the far left distance are the towers of Croydon, almost 40 km away, with the grandstand of Epsom Racecourse in the right background. On the far right is the mansion at Clandon Park, covered in sheeting following a major fire in 2015. In the top centre of the photo a Red Kite (Milvus milvus) can be seen flying past, one of a group of three flying around that afternoon.
