A former Anglican chapel of ease built in 1831 by Joseph Lidstone with the apsidal east end seen here added in 1884 by George H Birch. When listed in 1972 (grade II, list entry 1297098) it was described as having been converted into 11 flats, and in a later amendment as a hostel for the homeless, but had most recently been used as a restaurant Image and was for sale at the time of this photo. The boundary wall and gates are separately listed (entry 1209931) but the gates are later replacements for originals removed in World War I.
