An attractive shopping arcade begun in 1843 by R.W. & C. Jearrad, though not completed until c1860, probably under the watchful eye of William Knight. The swept cornice catering for the slope is reminiscent of Bath. Dividing the shops are caryatids (Image]). Grade II* listed.
