This is the front of Red Cow Cottage. The old road/track that led into Cholsey passed by. When they built the Wallingford road it went straight past the back making this part redundant. There are a few other houses like this along the Wallingford Road where the back became the front. The Red Cow was most likely a beer house in its time.
