New stuff at the top of a telephone pole - this is the pole in Image now with added optical fibre hardware for the PON - Passive Optical Network. The nearest box is a CBT - Connectorised Block Terminal - group of fibres goes up to (in this case) 12 Optitap waterproof connectors. The dropwire to the house is pre-terminated but has to be spliced at the house in a Customer Service Point (CSP)
