The church dates from the 1830s, and was Grade II listed https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101234464-church-of-st-paul-north-sunderland & https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1234464 in 1969. The nave and chancel have notable barrel-vaulted ceilings.
