The former 18th century tobacco warehouse is Category B listed http://portal.historicenvironment.scot/designation/LB22389, dates from 1772 and was restored by Falkirk District Council in 1978-80. Part of the restoration involved building the low level section (and entrance) linking the ground floor to Bo'ness Library in the former Old West Pier Tavern (out of view to the right).
