In the north of this grid-square and away from the village of Ebernoe in a clearing on the wooded common which fills most of the square stands Holy Trinity Church. This was built in 1865-8 at the instruction of Mr. William Peachey and was consecrated on the first day of September, 1868. It continues to serve as the parish church.
