Parish Boundary Marker on the south side of Simeon Street, against the front gate post of number 24. Now Ryde parish but on the former boundary of St Helens and Newchurch parishes. Probably inscribed ST / H on the left, N on the right, with a vertical groove between. The parish boundary followed a stream called Monktonmead Brook that has been piped in and sent subterranean as it nears the seafront. Milestone Society National ID: IW_RYDE01pb
