The path is still being used (it is not overgrown and it is well trodden) but only just passable, with great care. The drop if one was to fall would more than likely result in serious injury. Quite a sight. With hindsight I would like to have back-tracked, re-routed (which looks easy) and warned others of the risks and set a better example. But my instinct starts off with curiosity, then ratchets up to a spirit of adventure and tips over into recklessness and a spirit of derring-do that all my life I have wrestled with. I have got into many scrapes because of it. And so far anyway, out the other side unharmed. Can my luck last? Nope. Note to self: minimise risk.
