Estate Boundary Marker 350 metres south of the old china clay works drying pans on Greenbarrow Downs against the wall enclosing the farmland on the west side of the A30. Blisland parish. This stone appears to mark the boundary of Greenbarrow Downs and Trehudreth Downs. The letter W stands for John Wallis, who in 1840 was the owner of Greenbarrow Downs, subsequently (C1846) selling the land to Hayward; hence the alteration to the stone - HP replacing the W. The letter G indicates that the adjoining land was owner by the Davies Gilbert family, owning the Manor of Trehudreth from 1831 to 1874. Milestone Society National ID: CW_BLIS23em
