The Morris Minor 1000 was a very popular small car in its day. This fine example was built in 1970, near the end of the model's production run, by which time the design was looking distinctly dated. The licence plate shows that it was first registered by Somerset County Council but it has evidently lived here in Ely for a number of years as this photograph by Peter Trimming from 2014 shows: Image
