One of a number of the Bantam Tugs still operated by the Canal and River Trust. Although called tugs, they were adapted for propelling barges rather than towing. They were built between 1951 and 1969, and their handiness is emphasised by their continued use. 'Will Scarlet' dates from 1951 and is one of the oldest survivors. It is one of 6 originally allocated to the Nottingham area with names taken from the Robin Hood legends.
