Dated 1835, and supposedly designed by the county surveyor of Shropshire who died a year earlier, Thomas Telford, after whom the nearby town has taken its name. The tollhouse is variously known as The Round House or The Umbrella House, and was Grade II listed https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101210173-the-round-houseumbrella-house-wrockwardine#.YOycWuhKjIU & https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1210173 in 1983.
