This end of the road at its junction with the main Leeds Road is blocked to motor traffic, perhaps to avoid what would be a dangerous exit on a blind bend. Older maps who Ashfield Terrace (left) terminating a little way short of the main road; the lighter coloured stone of the end building and its address (349 Leeds Road) also suggest it is a later addition.
