An extensive cotton mill alongside the River Hipper. Some of the buildings date back to the late 18th century and include examples of early fire-proof floor construction which are rare survivors. The whole mill complex is Listed Grade II* to reflect this. It is one of just 8 Grade I or II* Listings in the town.
