One of the two surviving public houses in Mitton Street (the other being the Black Star). There was at least one other in Mitton Street with the glorious name of the Round of Beef! And quite likely there were others. Like most other towns Stourport has lost many pubs over the years with several closing since the beginning of the new century. But even today it has around 20, thus providing at least one pub to every 1,000 inhabitants! This view is from Mitton Walk opposite the pub.
