Raising the Black Bridge

The rail bridge over Afon Dulas, just to the east of Machynlleth, is being raised by 1 metre to reduce the incidence of flooding. As a result, the line between Machynlleth and Shrewsbury is closed, with replacement buses being operated. See also Image
