The 2021 Manchester Flower Show took place between 29 May and 6 June. It was the city’s first major event after re-opening in mid-May following the national Coronavirus lockdown. The show featured a city-wide trail of floral displays and green installations. This display was to highlight the work done by St Ann's Hospice https://www.sah.org.uk/ . Established in 1971 on the initiative of Dr Moya Cole from the Christie Hospital, it is celebrating its 5oth anniversary this year. Like most hospices in the UK, it is largely funded by voluntary donations; only about a third of its funding is provided by the NHS.
