Museum in Orchard Side House, on the south side of the triangular market place of Olney. This early 18th century house, or perhaps a pair of houses, was the home of the poet William Cowper from 1768 until 1786, where he wrote verse and struggled with sometimes suicidal depression. https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1125295 The house became the Cowper Museum in 1900. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cowper_and_Newton_Museum Newton was added later, with the increasing fame of the hymn 'Amazing Grace', composed by Cowper's friend and neighbour John Newton, clergyman, hymn writer and former slave trader turned (belatedly) slavery abolitionist. https://cowperandnewtonmuseum.org.uk/
