Several of the smaller railway stations between Hull and Scarborough have closed in recent decades, and their villages remains small. Where a station has remained open, such as at Nafferton, housing growth is rapid as they are seen as commuter dormitory towns. This is a current development not shown on maps, so the location is approximate.
