New trains went into service on the Marston Vale Line in September 2019. This is Class 230 230003 with the 1323 departure from Ridgmont to Bletchley. The new trains are re-purposed ex London Underground trains, using fuel efficient diesel engines to power generators which drive the electric traction motors on each coach. They replace the old Class 150 and 153 diesel trains to provide a 'greener' solution for local train travel.
