The burying place of Rev Mr John Hume who after seven years ministry in the parish of Polwarth was admitted minister of Greenlaw in 1734 and continued in the office till his death which happened on 13th December 1777 at the age of 77 years. John Hume was born more than 300 years ago in 1700.
