This is on one of the Kirkburton Parish Walks, called 'Beaumont's Bolt'. The direction to the left presumably refers to the footpath to Wakefield Road at Lepton Edge, from where you would go via Emley to get to Denby Dale. This footpath starts further down the hill at the bottom edge of the wood, although there might be an informal path through the wood starting here. This stile is on the boundary between Lepton and Whitley Upper. For the other side of the guide stone see Image
