A view of the canal from Beswick Street. the mill on the left is Brunswick Mill, a former cotton spinning mill dating from around 1840. It is Grade II-listed (Historic England List Entry No: 1197807 https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1197807 ). At one time both sides of the Ashton Canal were lined with mills for a considerable distance.
