This view is today largely obliterated by the bridge carrying the elevated A66 through the centre of town, seen in this view https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/4021006 taken from a bit further back at the Station. The Royal Exchange on the extreme left was demolished to make room for the road. Middlesbrough Corporation bus 73 is a Daimler Fleetline with Northern Counties body, new in 1967.
