Pott Row is the western part of the parish of Grimston and was a significant centre of pottery production from the 11th to 16th centuries. A postmill which once stood on Millhill Common is also featured on the sign as is the Methodist chapel in Chapel Road. https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/6793780
