Bus 277, formerly 77, part of the Devon General fleet since 1970, is still in full City Transport livery, including the city coat of arms. It is a Leyland PD2 with Massey bodywork, new in 1961. The area has been substantially redeveloped with new housing on the former industrial development behind the bus. At the time this was pretty well the limit of housing development, which has since been substantially expanded in the area. This is one of a series of views featuring buses in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. http://www.geograph.org.uk/search.php?i=137652761
