Originally a pair of semi-detached houses built by George Wilkinson possibly around 1871. 74 was converted to a maternity home in 1950 and from 1961 it was Eastholme Nursing Home, presumably at that time encompassing 74 and 75 and shown as such on the 1967 OS map. It was unnumbered into the 20th century and the two houses were named Westholme and Eastholme. Directories list; Westholme 1885-89 can't locate an entry, 1896 Henry March, 1905-13 Miss Ninian Hill, 1919 Walter A Wilkinson; Eastholme 1889-96 Rev. Robert Markham Hill M.A. head master Middle School, 1905-19 Frederick Higgs.
