The church of St Andrew, Penrice, dates from the 12th century and is a Grade II listed building with several interesting features. The porch transept was used for the conduct of parish business in medieval times, and subsequently as a schoolroom. A huge and ancient yew tree towers over the churchyard to the northwest. But perhaps the most interesting feature is the ‘murder stone’ in the graveyard. See Image
