Milestone Developments have acquired a large field at Tunnoch Farm, Maybole, where they plan to build 124 houses. The view from the adjacent playing fields at The Glebe shows the full extent of the housing development which will lie on the raised area in the background above the level of the surrounding marsh. The site will include a SUDS pond, to be located on the higher ground approximately behind the rugby posts in this view. Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems are designed to control the run-off of rainwater, protect the water quality, provide an amenity for residents and promote biodiversity of water life.
