This mid-19th century three-storey house, with basement/lower ground floor, is considered the "best example of the muscular properties in this good-looking street". The six-panelled front door with overlight set in a stone architrave is reached via a flight of stone stairs whilst the basement/lower ground floor is accessed through a door beneath the stairs. This house was once the home of Anne Maud Burnett who in 1910 became the first woman member of Tynemouth Council, and then in 1929 the Council's first woman Mayor.
