The bridge carrying the A667 (Ringley Road West) over the route of the former East Lancashire Railway’s Clifton Junction to Accrington line in a deep cutting just to the south of Ringley Road Station (Image]). The line was closed in December 1966 and the track was lifted shortly afterwards. The route of the line through to Radcliffe has been converted into a footpath and cycleway known as the Outwood Trail.
