Carved stone post (plate lost) on Newton Road, in parish of Barwick (South Somerset District), on the verge on the West side of the road in Stoford village almost directly opposite the garage. Yeovil gabled iron plate erected by the Yeovil turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription once read:- (Yeovil) (2) (Maiden) (Newton) (11⅜) Somerset HER.
