Traffic on the A3022 Newton Road is reduced to a single lane, and there's no access to Old Woods Hill from this direction, hence the road closed signs. Not strictly true as you can access the hill from the north and come down it from Barton Road, but awkward for those who use it as a route from the west, like us.
