Ahead, looking east, is the Ladder Bridge, built in the 19th century to carry an ancient right of way over the then Warwick and Napton Canal, opened in 1800 and now part of the Grand Union. The towpath through Leamington and Warwick is well-used by walkers, cyclists and runners.
