A farm track has been surfaced to form a contractor's access to the site of a rather eventful stretch of HS2 in civil engineering terms. There will be cuttings to take the line beneath realigned roads and the Coventry-Leamington railway, emerging briefly at crossings of the realigned Canley Brook, and a culvert northeast of Crackley Wood. The viewpoint is a gate beyond the sewage pumping station northeast of Crackley Crescent, just off the A429 Kenilworth Road. The red building above centre is thought to be Cryfield Grange Image Reference: File 'Route passes Kenilworth Golf Club' downloaded from the gov.uk website https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/532881/C223-CSI-CV-DPP-030-000005-FPD.pdf Also identified as Sheet 38 of the outline plan, confirmed 2016.
