A close up of the big end and crank of the 1914 Cole, Marchent and Morley horizontal tandem compound at this former textile mill. This shows the overhung crank with a box type big end and a 'banjo' centrifugal oiler. The crank is surrounded by a planished steel splash guard. This engine has now been scrapped and an Aldi stands on the site of the mill.
