The nearest rid brick former cotton spinning mill is No. 1 mill its engine house to the left. This contained an inverted vertical steam engine to drive the mill. In the background is No. 2 mill that was later seriously damaged by fire. In 2016 No. 1 Mill was also severely damaged by fire. This site has now been cleared. The truncated chimney was the last structure standing.
