The building furthest from the camera is the former Baptist chapel, built in 1829 to replace a 1723 building on the same site. The Baptists and the Methodists combined to form the Pound Lane Free Church in 1978. The building nearest the camera, replacing the former manse, is a multi-purpose addition to the church erected in 2006. Listed, grade II, with details at: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1331730 Isleham is a rural fenland village situated about 6 miles north of Newmarket and some 7 miles south east of Ely. The village is renowned for the Isleham Hoard of more than 6500 pieces of bronze from the late Bronze Age. The priory of St Margaret of Antioch was founded in the village circa 1090.
