The road is seen heading north towards Haydon Bridge. There's no trace of the buttresses now; even if they had not been removed previously, roadworks associated with construction of the Haydon Bridge bypass involved landscaping of the area which would have seen them lost. OS one inch 7th. series mapping does show a bridge in place but there's no clue as to the need for it.
