Warren Street tube station

The station was opened in 1907 on the original Charing Cross, Euston & Hampstead Railway, now the Charing Cross branch of the Northern Line. In 1934 the station was rebuilt when escalators were installed, and the original iconic Leslie Green facade was removed (see Image for a nearby original). In 1968 the Victoria Line station was added. Although they are shown in separate locations on the classic Underground map, Euston Square and Warren Street stations are only about 200 metres apart, either side of the new Image This view was taken across the A400 Tottenham Court Road.
