A pub I have never visited, even when I lived just down Manchester Road in the early 1980s. My local was the Craven Heifer, but I also drank in The Woodman & The Hare & Hounds up Wibsey Bank, which were all this side of Manchester Road. Getting to the Red Lion would have involved climbing over the railings in the middle of the road & I wasn't sure of being able to get back over after I'd had a few pints.
