A bench on Roman Road

The long, straight road on top of Bleadon Hill is thought to have been used for transporting minerals and stone in times gone by. Here a small patch of grass is home to a bench affording great views south over Somerset. The bench bears a memorial to a local man who loved this spot. It's easy to see why he did.
