The night club was opened in the former George and Dragon on the corner of Swan Street and Oak Street in the 1930s and has since expanded next door into what was a Spirits Warehouse in 1888. The club closed in 2007 and was renovated funded by £3.2 million awarded by the Arts Council England and the Heritage Lottery Fund. http://manchesterhistory.net/manchester/tours/tour4/area4page57.html (Manchester History).
