The bus is a Leyland Leopard with relatively unusual Strachan's bodywork delivered new in 1964 to what was then West Hartlepool Corporation. Unlike many town centres, the scene remained remarkably unchanged 50 years on. This is one of a series of views featuring buses in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. http://www.geograph.org.uk/search.php?i=2114547&displayclass=slide
