This old sandstone milestone is now in front of a private house. It was on the B1345 (old A198) at NT 5139 8386 south of the Castle Inn but probably removed in 1940, WWII ruling. A faint 20 can be seen on the bevel and 'from EDIN' on the front face. This is the same style as the legend on the 17 mile stone in grid square NT4781 to the south-west of Gullane.
